Chopping up beautiful decades old ikat sarongs and selandang songket trims takes nerves of steel, I can tell you that for free.
They are certainly better off being scavenged for parts as opposed to where I originally found them…
…but it is still pretty heart-wrenching for a self-confessed textile geek.
